The sun hides its face in shadow.
Burning fire erupts upon the horizon.
Eerie darkness covers the sky.
Black clouds rise above the fire;
Like smoke that billows from hell’s forges.
Now lighter clouds of steam rise behind.
Chills cover your skin;
Your breath smokes with the cold.
Your chest tightens with fear gripping you.
Your body trembles with adrenaline.
Animals silently flee in all directions…
Then light slowly appears;
Quickly chasing away the dark fire.
A cool bright light washes the land.
Laughter and joy returns to your ears.
The sky again brings forth it’s blue and white.
Your heartbeat slows to normal;
You regain your breath and calm.
The icy grasp of fear is gone.
Warmth returns to your limbs.
Birds chirp with joy as they flit above.
